The plan book is meant to be a communication tool between school and home. It is used to help your child become independent, yet still be a place for you to be involved in your child's education. Please look at your child's plan book daily. It should contain the activities for the day and any homework necessary to complete. Please feel free to write messages to me in the plan book, and I will do the same.
Your child will be given the opportunity to fill in his/her plan book every day. It is the responsibility of your child to copy the schedule from the whiteboard into the plan book. I will write on the whiteboard exactly what I would like your child to write in his/her planbook; however, if there is a time where another teacher or myself has not directed what to write in the planbook, your child should write in the box what they did during that period or class.
I will check your child's planbook periodically. At this time I will date any message that I have for you. I will also list any outstanding work owed at that time. I do not take off points for overdue work; however, I will be in contact with you if I see a pattern of late work from your child. Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns in this area.
Also, know that this website will be updated every two or three days with what was posted on the board for your child to copy down into his/her planbook. It will be labeled as "Daily Work" with the date of the week labeled. This is just another way for you to be involved in your child's education and for us to be in communication.
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions about this process.
